Established in 1986 Pallet Truck Services is a trusted service provider for material handling equipment for an ever-growing customer base.

Founded by Robbie Reather in the late eighties he took his experience of mechanical engineering gained from his career in the RAF and later at Hawker Sidleys in Kingston, to Lansing Bagnall as an apprentice, where he first started working on forklifts.
Having completed his apprenticeship and with a firm grasp of the material handling sector, Robbie decided to go on his own in 1986 and formed Robbie Reather Mechanical Handling.
Robbie quickly established a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy supplier for numerous companies in London and the South-East, many of whom he still looks after today.

After 18 years of working on his own and taking over Pallet Truck Services, Robbie welcomed his son in law into the company and in 2013 they took the company limited.

Co-owner Ian Rampton studied electronic engineering at Southampton University after which he started worked for Thales, working on defences systems and aircraft simulators.
A few years later after meeting Robbie’s daughter, Ian joined Robbie in Pallet Truck Services. With Ian’s knowledge of electronics and Robbie’s mechanical engineering experience, they formed a strong partnership and reputation.

Now employing two full time engineers and with four vans on the road, Pallet Truck Services has proven to be a trustworthy and reliable supplier in the material handling market.
With a fleet of long-term and short-term hire trucks as well as a large stock of new and used forklifts, Pallet Truck Services is trusted by many firms and although the company has grown over the years, it remains a family run business.
